GBHS Marching Band 2008: Pandora's Box Programs

My Programs

Here are the programs and tools that I have created over the years, many of which are semi-trivial. But, here they are, in the hope they will be useful to somebody. Click on the title to go to that program's page.

Conductor's Beat

Conductor's Beat is a highly useful tool to musicians working in passages with changing time signatures. Just put in the tempo, number of measures, beats per measure, and it will generate a click track (.wav) for you to put on CD, a portable music player, or anything else to practice with. Ideal for all musicians, section leaders, drum majors, instructors, and trance music enthusiasts.

MetroGen Metronome Generator [obsolete]

Back when Conductor's Beat Metronome was a command-line application requiring you to make a song structure file yourself, this tool was good for non-geeks to make a file and use the metronome program. Now that Conductor's Beat is graphical there is really no need for it. Its Instruction-based operation eventually worked itself into the metronome program itself. Not that you care. At any rate, it's a cool demo of the Google Web Toolkit.

Emerging Intelligence in Tic-Tac-Toe

I wrote this for a science far project in 10th grade, continuing with my AI theme. This tic-tac-toe Java applet makes random moves at first. As you win against it, it starts to learn from its mistakes and your knowledge. Before long, it can tie you about every time. It won me 1st place in the Computer Science/Mathematics category at school level, and it would of won first at the county level as well (being the only one in the category helps tremendously). Applet and Java source available.
